Description

A festive homemade jam made with cranberries, strawberries, warm spices, and brown sugar, all cooked effortlessly in a slow cooker. Perfect for holiday spreads or gifts.


Ingredients

  • 24 oz. fresh cranberries (about 6 cups)
  • 16 oz. fresh strawberries
  • 1½ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • ½ tsp. ground cloves
  • ¼ tsp. ground ginger
  • 2 cups brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Add cranberries, strawberries, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger into the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
  2. Set slow cooker on HIGH and cook for 4 hours. Do not open the lid during cooking.
  3. After cooking, blend the mixture with a blender or immersion blender until jam-like consistency is reached. Do not over-blend.
  4. Allow jam to cool completely before transferring to jars or containers. It will thicken as it cools.

Notes

You can substitute strawberries with raspberries or blackberries. For a lower-sugar version, use honey or maple syrup instead of brown sugar. Add chia seeds for extra fiber and natural thickening.
