Description
A festive homemade Christmas jam combining tart cranberries, sweet strawberries, bright citrus, and warm cinnamon for the perfect holiday spread.

- 12 oz fresh cranberries
- 1 lb fresh strawberries
- Zest and chopped fruit of 1 large orange
- ¼ cup water or fresh orange juice
- 4 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
Instructions
- Rinse cranberries, remove stems, hull and chop strawberries.
- Combine cranberries, strawberries, orange zest, orange flesh, and orange juice in a heavy-bottomed pot.
- Add sugar and cinnamon stick, stirring over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
- Bring mixture to a rolling boil, then reduce to a steady simmer.
- Simmer 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
- Test consistency using the cold plate test or thermometer (220°F).
- Remove cinnamon stick, ladle into sterilized jars, leaving ¼-inch headspace. Seal and process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
Notes
For a healthier twist, substitute part of the sugar with honey, maple syrup, or fruit puree. Frozen berries can be used without thawing. Always sterilize jars for safe preservation.
