- 2 cups Granulated Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- 1 Tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- ½ tsp Ground Nutmeg
- ¼ tsp Ground Cloves
- 1 Tbsp Fresh Orange Zest
Instructions
- Rinse cranberries and remove any stems or damaged berries.
- Place in a saucepan with 1 cup water and bring to a gentle boil, then reduce to low heat to simmer.
- Gradually stir in the sugar, letting each addition dissolve completely.
- Add lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves; simmer 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once thickened, remove from heat and stir in orange zest.
- Ladle into sterilized jars, leaving ½ inch headspace.
- Seal jars, wipe rims, and cool completely before storing.
Notes
Store sealed jars in a cool, dark pantry for up to 1 year, or refrigerate after opening for up to 3 months. Avoid overcooking for best spreadable consistency.
